I would like to share my expe­ri­ence with any­one who is think­ing about becom­ing a mem­ber of One Com­mu­nity and has not yet fully decided on what to do. I attended a gath­er­ing a few months ago and was not sure what to expect as I had gone to sev­eral net­work­ing groups before with lit­tle or no suc­cess in build­ing my busi­ness. The event was held at the Embassy Suites in the Bilt­more and was a very pleas­ant sur­prise for me. I was exposed to sev­eral busi­ness and through the course of it all I gained at least 9 new hair clients that night alone. Since that evening the owner of Bangz and I have joined and are now mem­bers of One Com­mu­nity. I must say that Angela and Sheri have come up with a great idea and have proven to be a great help in build­ing busi­ness in the gay and les­bian com­mu­nity and if you have not attended any of the net­work­ing evenings you really should give it a try.

Aunt Rita’s Foun­da­tion hon­ors and cel­e­brates our par­tic­i­pa­tion with One Com­mu­nity. The energy that One Com­mu­nity brings in build­ing part­ner­ships with the LGBT and the straight com­mu­ni­ties is truly remark­able, and sig­nif­i­cant for our entire com­mu­nity. Work­ing with One Com­mu­nity has been a fan­tas­tic expe­ri­ence for the Mer­cury. It’s pro­vides a cen­tral­ized focus for the team’s mar­ket­ing efforts in the LGBT com­mu­nity, allow­ing us to reach new peo­ple and orga­ni­za­tions. Sheri and Angela are con­sis­tently bring­ing new ideas to the table to involve the Mer­cury with One Com­mu­nity busi­nesses or orga­ni­za­tions, allow­ing us to part­ner with exist­ing events or cre­ate new and fun ways to sup­port the com­mu­nity. It’s def­i­nitely been a win-win for us and a way to show our sup­port for all the LGBT com­mu­nity does for the Mercury.

I am writ­ing to you today to thank you for our adver­tis­ing pro­gram with One Com­mu­nity over the last year. It has proven itself time and time again to be a very good invest­ment for our grow­ing busi­ness. One Com­mu­nity has not only pro­vided us with many bid oppor­tu­ni­ties from the clien­tele through our inter­net ad, but has also exposed our busi­ness to many com­pa­nies that are using the site and also adver­tis­ing on the site. We have received many strong leads and great expo­sure through our ad that has enabled us to gain strong rela­tion­ships with other com­pa­nies that might not have been there oth­er­wise. It is through those types of val­ued busi­ness rela­tion­ships that you can­not put a price to, as those rela­tion­ships will help increase our busi­ness and our com­pany to grow in the future.
