Councilman Simplot Hosts LGBTQ Coffee Chat

Councilman Tom Simplot wants to buy you a cup of coffee!

Residents are invited to join Councilman Tom Simplot at One Voice Community Center at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 4 for the first in a series of Coffee Chats for the LGBTQ community. One Voice Community Center is located at 4442 N. 7th Avenue.

Simplot will discuss the City of Phoenix redistricting process, diversity initiatives from the Police Department, neighborhood improvement and other topics of interest to the LGBTQ community. Bring your questions, concerns and ideas to this open forum to meet your Councilman and get more involved with your City.

Councilman Simplot was first elected to the Phoenix City Council in 2003 in a special election and re-elected in 2005 and 2009, and is eligible to run for one additional term in 2013. He is the first and only openly gay councilmember to serve on the Phoenix City Council. Simplot takes great pride in representing a very diverse district in central Phoenix
