I would like to share a few words of encouragement, and I hope influence, with any one considering a relationship with One Community. I personally have been in business for 9 years and have worked with many networking groups in that time. Networking for me is about building relationships and connecting with the local community; I know the more people I can help, the more I strengthen my local community. I also know the universal law that what you put out always comes back to you. One of Kai-Zen's missions is to strengthen the health and wellbeing of our Phoenix area community. I can say with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I have worked with no better group then one Community in achieving this mission. There events are always fun, the One Community members are professional; everyone has the mission supporting, growing, and learning about one another. To put it simply, One Community members get it. Thank you Sheri and Angela for all you do and running such a top notch origination.
I would like to share my experience with anyone who is thinking about becoming a member of One Community and has not yet fully decided on what to do. I attended a gathering a few months ago and was not sure what to expect as I had gone to several networking groups before with little or no success in building my business. The event was held at the Embassy Suites in the Builtmore and was a very pleasant surprise for me. I was exposed to several business and through the course of it all I gained at least 9 new hair clients that night alone. Since that evening the owner of Bangz and I have joined and are now members of One Community. I must say that Angela and Sheri have come up with a great idea and have proven to be a great help in building business in the gay and lesbian community and if you have not attended any of the networking evenings you really should give it a try.
Aunt Rita’s Foundation honors and celebrates our participation with One Community. The energy that One Community brings in building partnerships with the LGBT and the straight communities is truly remarkable, and significant for our entire community. The passion that One Community delivers to charitable causes such as Aunt Rita’s Foundation is beyond amazing. Thank you One Community!
I am both a social as well as a business member of One Community. I am a liaison for Arizona Women in Tune and have had the opportunity to work with Angela and Sheri both personally and professionally. One Community has brought the face of diversity out though media, television, networking, community outreach and awareness. They have done this with eagerness, enthusiasm and warmth.
Working with One Community has been a fantastic experience for the Mercury. It’s provides a centralized focus for the team’s marketing efforts in the LGBT community, allowing us to reach new people and organizations. Sheri and Angela are consistently bringing new ideas to the table to involve the Mercury with One Community businesses or organizations, allowing us to partner with existing events or create new and fun ways to support the community. It’s definitely been a win-win for us and a way to show our support for all the LGBT community does for the Mercury.
